We are a group of feminists who are working nationwide to advance the status of Arab women in Israel. We believe that social change can be achieved if women are empowered to take a more active role in the private and public life. Kayan encourages women to contribute their experiences and perspectives, and to demand recognition of their needs and realization of their rights within their communities. Kayan uniquely combines professional legal expertise with community-based leadership and social change.
