TERRE DES FEMMES is a non-profit women's rights campaigning organisation. We support women and girls through public campaigning, political lobbying, international networking, instant action, individual case work and the support of specific projects working with women and girls.

TERRE DES FEMMES fights for equal and inalienable rights for all women and girls and for their ability to lead self-determined lives.

Founded in 1981, the organisation currently has nearly 3000 members, with many women taking action in more than 25 active regional volunteer sub-groups. These volunteers work together with the main office to raise public awareness of gender-based violence and rights abuses by hosting info talks, talking to the media, lobbying decision-makers and collecting signatures.

TERRE DES FEMMES is a registered charity financed mostly through membership fees and donations. Focus issues in previous campaigns include honour-based violence, forced marriage, domestic violence, FGM, trafficking and the rights of textile workers.
